Belaga:During the Annual Sports Meet held at SK Airport Belaga
recently, Wilson Ugak Kumbong handed his personal donation of RM3,000.00 to the
PIBG for them to carry out their annual activities. This proves Ugak’s
generosity in helping those in need during his round of meeting the
constituents of P216 Hulu Rajang. Due to his generosity and approachable
attitude; has made him a very popular politician in the area. He has served as
the Election Director for YB Datuk Billy Abit Joo since 1990 and YB Tan Sri Dr
James Jemut Masing for the past seven elections. Ugak is the anointed BN/PRS
candidate to replace incumbent; YB Datuk Billy Abit Joo in the coming PRU-13.
P216 Hulu Rajang consists of two state seats; N.56 Baleh and N.57 Belaga which
both are currently being held by YBs from BN/PRS.

UGAK @ RH JANGGU NG SEMPILI BALEH

THURSDAY01-11-2012.
Wilson Ugak was at
Rumah Janggu Nanga Sempili to officiate the the Launching of the JKKK RH
Janggu, Nanga Sempili on Thursday afternoon on his way to Scheme Tunoh.
In his speech, Ugak
stressed the importance role being played by the JKKK and only with an active
JKKK will the Long house progress with flying colours. He praised the JKKK of
Rh Janggu for their proactive initiatives.
Ugak also touched on the
BR1M 2.0 as announced by YAB PM recently. For those who had received the
previous BR1M, he advised them to stay put and meanwhile for those 21 years of
age and below 35 and earning below RM3,000.00 he advised them to register in
order to be eligible for the BR1M 2.0 payment amounting to RM250.00 each. The
registration started today and can be done either online or at the District
Office.
On another note, he
pointed out that the Government is really serious in bringing development to
the rakyat. This can be proven by the proposed construction of the SCORE road
connecting most of the long houses in Baleh to Kapit town. He stressed that the
SCORE road was the brainchild of YB Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing to bring
development to the people; particularly in Baleh. YB Tan Sri has spoken to the
stakesholders of Putai Dam (SEB and State Government) to construct the SCORE
road first before proceeding with the Putai Dam construction as not to
experience the fate of those living below Bakun when the impounding started
they faced difficulties to mobilize due to low water level for boats to
navigate. A lesson has been learnt and YB Tan Sri want to make sure it does not
repeat. Also on the agenda is the construction of the Baleh Bridge at Nanga
Mujong." As your future MP, with God’s willing; I share this vision of YB
Tan Sri and will work hard hand in hand with YB Tan Sri to achieve what has
been planned. This is the Blue Print of development being put forward for the
betterment of the quality of life for the people in Baleh for their continuous
support to the BN government", said Ugak.
Ugak further invited and
welcomed those who had all the while being in the opposition by supporting PKR,
SWP and even turned their back to BN in the previous elections to come forward
and support him as their elected representative in Parliament come PRU-13. With
regards to the selection of candidate for P216 Hulu Rajang; the issue has long
been solved. "BN/PRS will put me (Ugak) as their candidate to replace YB
Datuk Billy Abit Joo" said Ugak to the applause of those present. For the record; YB Datuk Billy Abit Joo is still moving
around to finish his term and also to campaign for Barisan Nasional by
distributing the Touch-point fund to those in needs. "So if BN nominate me
(Ugak), then you all should support me as I represent the Barisan Nasional"
Ugak said.
Meanwhile, Wilson Nyabong;
a political Secretary to the Chief minister advised the people not to listen to
propagandas being put by YB Datuk Billy that he still stands a chance to be
re-nominated as the candidate for P216 Hulu Rajang. I was being instructed to
tell the people that Wilson Ugak is the only candidate being submitted to YAB
Chief Minister and YAB Prime Minister for Hulu Rajang candidacy. Thus he
advised YB Datuk Billy to adhere and respects the decision of the grass root
and the Selection Committee of the Party; unless he put his loyalty to the
Party on the line.

UGAK@RH KILLAU TUNOH SCHEME AND SK TUNOH
Kapit:2-11-2012.Wilson Ugak Kumbong and Wilson Nyabong Ijang were the
guests of honour to officiate the Telekom Tower at Rumah Killau at Tunoh Scheme
recently. With the facilities, the people of Tunoh Scheme will be able to
communicate with the outside world by phones. The facility was made available
as an on-going development programmes by the Barisan Nasional Government to
narrow the gap between the rural and urban populace in terms of facilities.
To coinside was the handing over of the Astro
Njoi Decoder and Plasma TV to the long houses in Tunoh area. This is the proof
that the BN government is sincere in its effort to help the rakyat. For the
record; the receptions of radio and TV broadcast is very poor in a vast area
like Sarawak and thus by providing the long houses with a modern gadget like
Digital Njoi Astro Decoder and Plasma TV will enable the people in the rural
area to have first- hand information on government policies and not being
manipulated by unhealthy rumours such as Radio Free Sarawak. With Astro Njoi,
the rural will be able to receive and enjoy digital entertainment provided free
to their living room. Unlike the RFS, the entertainment and programmes are from
true and reliable sources. The headmen represented by TR Killau convey their
appreciation to the government for this noble gesture and urged their anembiaks
not to be easily influenced by liars and untrue facts through RFS.
On another note regarding the perimeter
Survey, Wilson Nyabong advised the people not to be easily influenced by PKR
claim that the government will take their NCR land if Perimeter Survey is being
done to their land. Perimeter Survey is a survey process to identify the
boundaries of the NCR land and the State Land. It serves also as the Boundary
that separates the land of different long houses. (Antara menoa). As such the
claims made by PKR are all baseless. NCR land will forever remain as NCR land.
The beauty of Perimeter Survey is that boundaries of individual plot of land
can be identified and this will make it easier for sub- division purposes."
Stop listening to allegations that the government will take your land, am glad
to announce that Tunoh Scheme will be the next Rural Transformation Centre
(RTC) soon", said Nyabong to the applause of the audience.
During the land sport at SK Tunoh, Wilson
Nyabong stressed the importance of sport. He praised the school for their
efforts to inculcate the importance of sport along -side academic excellent. He
advised the parents to support their children to take sport seriously as sport
can be an excellent career nowadays. For instance, Pandelela Renong; the diving
Queen from Sarawak has been bestowed with recognitions for her contributions
towards the Nation. Datuk Lee Chong Wei; the current World number 1 in
badminton has earned a hefty prizes through various tournaments that he won.
Datuk Nichol Ann Davids; the current World number 1 in squash has brought many
glories to Malaysia. So sport can be an exciting career that rewards winners
handsomely. Through sport also can help to foster relation- ship amongst

PRS BALEH YOUT CHIEF: BILLY ACCEPT THE FACTS
KAPIT:14-9-2012. In response to a statement by Datuk Billy on the Star yesterday (13-9-2012);
PRS Youth Chief Bakat anak Gira questioned Datuk Billy`s statement made by the
later that his movement on the ground has no ulterior motives – just to
strengthen BN is pure lies.
As reported, he commented that the move by several
headmen to be politically motivated was quashed aside by Bakat. He said that the headmen were asked to attend
his functions just to collect their MRP grants as what was reported previously
and NOT to show their support for him to be re-nominated in Hulu Rajang. Please
highlight this, said Bakat to the Borneo Post when met yesterday. Bakat further stated that he was still at his
young age that he knew Billy. It was us (referring to PRS Baleh machinery
headed by Wilson Ugak Kumbong )who have been campaigning for Billy all the
while and I know how strong the people`s support him in the previous elections.
Back in 2004, Billy decided to give up politics and
strongly recommended Wilson Ugak Kumbong to replace him. At that time I started
working at the Party service centre and thus I knew all the things that
happened then. At the eleventh hour Billy pleaded with the Party that 2004 will
be his last term and come 2008 he will hand over the baton to Wilson Ugak. His
request was granted and he won. Right after the election in 2004 till 2007
Billy seldom visit his Baleh constituents and the people of Baleh put up all
the grumbles and dissatisfactions on Billy to me as I was working at the Party
Service Centre.
Come 2008, he played his old trick by pleading for
another term and he again promised he will eventually hand over the P216 Hulu
Rajang seat to Wilson Ugak Kumbong who at that point of time was demanding him
(Billy) to fulfil his promise. Again Billy did not keep his promises.
During a dialogue session at the Election Station at
Rumah Jampong, Billy again promised that this (2008) will be his last term and
called for all the people in Baleh to support him and he eventually won with a
majority of 2,164 of which the 1,600+ were from Baleh and the remaining 500+
from Belaga. During the 2008 campaign period, we (PRS Baleh election machinery
headed by Wilson Ugak) have to plead and convince people that they should throw
their support to Billy who represent BN and not the opposition as the people of
Baleh at that point of time became fed up with Billy for his non -commitment of
paying regular visits to his constituents and his empty unfulfilled promises.
My challenge to Datuk Billy now is why after supporting
him to victory in 2008, he never ever came to us (PRS Baleh machinery team) and
say Thank you for all the support that we rendered him all over the years and
instead he distanced himself from us and put up his own service centre. Why now
and not 20 over years ago? and to listen to the party decision that his name is
not being sent for re-nomination and to put a full stop of him telling people that
he still stand a chance of being re-nominated and thus cause confusions among
the people of Hulu Rajang.
On another report that stated that a crowd of 400 people
with 32 tuai rumah attended a gathering at Rumah Sigan on the 8-9-2012 that seem
to portrays that Billy still command a huge support from Baleh community is a
lie. Actually, there was a function organised by Kapit Hospital Visitors` Board
headed by Edward Mangah at Rumah Sigan and Billy was invited for the closing ceremony only. It was not his function and the
huge turnout was merely people from nearby longhouses who want to have their
health screening done by staff of Kapit Hospital, not as a show of support as
reported. And again another thing that caught my attention is the number “32”.
It was reported that 32 tuai rumahs attended the function at Rumah Sigan and
Rumah Kanyan Nanga Sepasir. Is it coincident or Billy`s favourite number? We
have first-hand information that the numbers were made up numbers by Billy`s
son; Emang Yu as he is the person behind the scene who has all the while been giving
misleading information to the press who we came to know seldom cover Billy`s
rural functions. Example of misleading information on BP 14-9-2012 was..Pemanca
David Dian and PRS Youth Exco cum PRS Belaga Youth Chief Darryl Herbert…Darryl
is the Secretary of PRS Baleh and not as reported.
