YB Wilson Ugak
Kumbong; Member of Parliament for Hulu Rajang recently paid a visit to Rh
Engking Sungai Amang during his walkabouts. Many were very curious with regards
to his visit as Rh Engking is under the Parliament of P.215 Kapit currently
represented by YB Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi and a huge crowd attended the
function to get first hand information.
During his speech, YB
Wilson Ugak pointed out that his visit was not to interfere with YB Datuk Alexander’s
area but to consolidate the grassroots support for the BN candidate who will
wrestle back the Pelagus seat from incumbent YB George Lagong. The Pelagus seat is being allocated to
Barisan Nasional through Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS).
"As we all know
that for the past two over years I have received a lot of complaints from the
people of Pelagus with regards to the unsatisfactory services being rendered by
YB George Lagong and now it is time we change him (Lagong) with someone from
the coalition who can serve the rakyat"
Ugak said to the applause of the audience.
On behalf of the
Barisan Nasional coaliation, Ugak pleaded with all the voters in Pelagus to
return this seat to the Barisan Nasional for continuous development. “Please
support YB Datuk Alexander Nanta so that both the ADUN seats namely Katibas and
Pelagus are being represented by the ruling coaliation” said Ugak. As for the
aspiring candidates, Ugak advised them to work hard and put rakyat’s interest
above their personal interest. Ugak also called for close rapport amongst
Barisan Nasional component parties namely PBB, SPDP and SUPP to help PRS
wrestle back Pelagus and God’s willing we will achieve that in the state
election.
At the function Ugak
presented MRP grants totaling RM188, 000.00 to 12 NGOs and JKKK from Pelagus
and Baleh. He advised all the recipients to use their allocation wisely for the
benefit of everyone in their community.
