UGAK FLY FROM KL TO VISIT VICTIM OF TURBULENCE WIND

Upon hearing a stress call from Tr Banta about the “flying roof” of his long house situated just below Nanga Sut, about half an hour drive from Kapit town; he (Ugak) took the first flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sibu en route to Kapit to visit the victims of the turbulence wind that caused havoc to Kapit town and nearby area on Wednesday night.

The first thing Ugak did was to call his assistants to render immediate help to the victims by visiting them and handing them with spandex roofing costing over RM2,000.00 to help ease their burden. The quick actions of Ugak’s assistants heaped praises from the victims and thanked Ugak for his concerns, aids and prompt actions.

During his visit, Ugak promised to help the victims to construct their destroyed houses and he (Ugak) appealed to the relevant authorities to come and render their assistances in whatever way they can to help lessen the burden of the victims. Ugak later announced that YB Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing chipped RM5, 000.00 to help the victims.

Accompanying Ugak on his brief visit was Penghulu Salang, Penghulu Uga, Linggie Masing-Kemas Baleh Officer, Nelson Nyagap from Kapit District Council and PRS Baleh party members.

Ugak took a speedboat ride to Sibu after the visit to catch the last flight to Kuching en route to Kuala Lumpur to join in the Merdeka day celebrations at the capital.
