KUCHING: State opposition PKR will be contesting in five constituencies in the state in the upcoming 13th general election.

These are Limbang, Batang Lupar, Saratok, Baram and Hulu Rajang.

In a recent press statement, state PKR chairman Baru Bian said the official announcement was made by the party’s de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Leading the candidacies in the state is Baru himself who will be contesting in Limbang while Abang Zulkifli Abang Engkeh will be standing in Batang Lupar.

In Saratok constituency, the party will be represented by state PKR vice-chairman Ali Biju whereas Baram will be contested by Roland Engan.
