Kapit:2-11-2012.Wilson Ugak Kumbong and Wilson Nyabong Ijang were the
guests of honour to officiate the Telekom Tower at Rumah Killau at Tunoh Scheme
recently. With the facilities, the people of Tunoh Scheme will be able to
communicate with the outside world by phones. The facility was made available
as an on-going development programmes by the Barisan Nasional Government to
narrow the gap between the rural and urban populace in terms of facilities.
To coinside was the handing over of the Astro
Njoi Decoder and Plasma TV to the long houses in Tunoh area. This is the proof
that the BN government is sincere in its effort to help the rakyat. For the
record; the receptions of radio and TV broadcast is very poor in a vast area
like Sarawak and thus by providing the long houses with a modern gadget like
Digital Njoi Astro Decoder and Plasma TV will enable the people in the rural
area to have first- hand information on government policies and not being
manipulated by unhealthy rumours such as Radio Free Sarawak. With Astro Njoi,
the rural will be able to receive and enjoy digital entertainment provided free
to their living room. Unlike the RFS, the entertainment and programmes are from
true and reliable sources. The headmen represented by TR Killau convey their
appreciation to the government for this noble gesture and urged their anembiaks
not to be easily influenced by liars and untrue facts through RFS.
On another note regarding the perimeter
Survey, Wilson Nyabong advised the people not to be easily influenced by PKR
claim that the government will take their NCR land if Perimeter Survey is being
done to their land. Perimeter Survey is a survey process to identify the
boundaries of the NCR land and the State Land. It serves also as the Boundary
that separates the land of different long houses. (Antara menoa). As such the
claims made by PKR are all baseless. NCR land will forever remain as NCR land.
The beauty of Perimeter Survey is that boundaries of individual plot of land
can be identified and this will make it easier for sub- division purposes."
Stop listening to allegations that the government will take your land, am glad
to announce that Tunoh Scheme will be the next Rural Transformation Centre
(RTC) soon", said Nyabong to the applause of the audience.
During the land sport at SK Tunoh, Wilson
Nyabong stressed the importance of sport. He praised the school for their
efforts to inculcate the importance of sport along -side academic excellent. He
advised the parents to support their children to take sport seriously as sport
can be an excellent career nowadays. For instance, Pandelela Renong; the diving
Queen from Sarawak has been bestowed with recognitions for her contributions
towards the Nation. Datuk Lee Chong Wei; the current World number 1 in
badminton has earned a hefty prizes through various tournaments that he won.
Datuk Nichol Ann Davids; the current World number 1 in squash has brought many
glories to Malaysia. So sport can be an exciting career that rewards winners
handsomely. Through sport also can help to foster relation- ship amongst
