Kapit: Ugak and his supporters recently visited Rh Gisang Sungai Bebangan Ulu
Mujong on a mission to meet the people and supporters cum to gauge people’s
support for him to stand as a BN candidate for P216 Hulu Rajang as he is widely
tipped to replace the incumbent YB Datuk Billy Abit Joo who has been the MP for
5 terms.
In attendance to the function held at Rh Gisang were 10 longhouses
chiefs who ALL pledged unanimously their full support for Ugak to be their
candidate and to throw all their votes for him. In response to the overwhelming
supports he received, Ugak pledged to do his best to serve the constituency
once elected and he advised that everybody throw their undivided support to
Barisan Nasional as it has a proven record to govern the nation well. Unlike
the opposition who only know how to discredit the government of today; even
though it [Barisan Nasional] has proven track records with excellent ratings to
their name.
For the record, the people in majority like Ugak for his simple
approachable attitude. He mingles well with everybody alike; elderly, young,
women and children. He is also a very good listener and foremost he always renders
assistance when help is needed to the best he could afford.
A political Secretary to the YAB CM, Angeline Umih Tujok also spoke at
the function. She was very happy to note the strong support for BN and she was
so optimistic and confident that P216 Hulu Rajang will remained a stronghold for Barisan Nasional in the
coming PRU-13 with a handsome majority.
Penghulu Stewart Sawing, Penghulu Salang [a new Penghulu from Mujong
area], Bakat Gira [PRS Baleh Youth Chief], Tr Gare Timbang [PRS Baleh
Information chief], Tr Inguh, Tr Barang, Tr Weng, Tr Umbar were among those in Ugak’s entourage.
Also in attendance was Koh Kumbong,the Divisional Information Officer for Kapit.
